Welcome To Our Website

Welcome to the parish website for the Church of St. Paul in Waterford, Connecticut. We encourage you to take a few minutes to inform yourself about our parish and its activities.

By exploring our website you can be introduced to the many opportunities for learning about different segments of our parish.

Are you looking for a new parish? Or are you just taking the time to explore our website? Do you wish to find out more about becoming becoming a Catholic? By exploring our website you can connect with our programs, our staff and our ministries.

Our parish was established in 1960. It is an intergenerational parish with all kinds of activities, learning opportunities and ministries for people who wish to serve with varying interests. Our concentrations are on Faith Formation, Liturgies, Scripture study, and visiting the home bound. We team up with other churches in our community to assist the hungry and give various types of aid to those in need.

Our parish is one of four parishes formed into a cluster of parishes. This has broaden our outreach into the Catholic community. The “St. Brendan the Navigator” is the name that was chosen. The following parishes in addition to St. Paul are: St. Joseph in New London, St. Mary Star of the Sea in New London and Our Lady of Grace on Fishers Island, NY.  As of July 1, 2021 our three churches (St. Paul, St. Joseph and St. Mary Star of the Sea) are now one church called St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Community. We are in the process of developing other educational and social ministries that will benefit our communities.

We encourage you to explore our website; meet our staff, learn about our social action programs; our faith formation programs for children and adults; learn about the requirements for the sacraments of Baptism, Marriage, Confirmation. You are encouraged to explore and then contact any of our staff to answer any questions you may have.  Our office is located at 37 Squire Street in New London, CT.  Thank you for exploring St. Paul’s Parish.
